Another shot with the wedge stone still in place. I think the wall that is in the back ground in the shot where the center wedge stone has slipped is barely visible at the lower left. Notice how the center wedge stone is perfectly even with the stone holding it on the right.
I suppose I should edit my comments. This is the facade shot without the wall and with the wedge stone in place, which had to have been taken earlier than the view of the temple of Jupiter from the north-east. The wall is not there in this picture. An examination of the stones on both sides clearly shows where it will match up with the wall that comes later. Why would they build such an ugly wall as seen in the north-east view across that opening? Had me confused.
