1908 machine used in Gary W. Va. mine - what is it?

I don’t really spend any time on that one, but it was neat to read other postulation. it hadn’t occurred to me that the lower front chains were driving a scoop (I assumed they were power train for motion). It would explain how the broken rocks made it to the conveyor! I think they also...

1908 machine used in Gary W. Va. mine - what is it?

@Cathartic thats an astute observation. I compiled my (ever growing) list of period equipment manufacturers based off of the prominent nameplates visible in the photos.

Brad Steiger and his Ancient Machine

Another fascinating find indeed. I’ve given it an hour of my life, and I’m left with some impressions: the official story is that it was built and then shuttered the day it was completed. Possibly because Russia’s tokamak was vastly superior? there’s no mention I can find of it (or them) being...

1908 machine used in Gary W. Va. mine - what is it?

I would hazard a guess that right end, or shovel, has rotating sets of teeth similar to a chainsaw. It appears to me that the big chain links you pointed out drive the gears behind them, giving the chainsaw teeth their mechanical action. The chains must return to a motor of sorts within the...

1908 machine used in Gary W. Va. mine - what is it?

I would imagine this machine to be self-propelled. The wheels appear to have two components: rail riders and traction. also if you look at the interior of the two front wheels, you’ll see more chain links. I’m assuming that’s the drive mechanism.

1908 machine used in Gary W. Va. mine - what is it?

I’ve updated the link to the entire ebook. You have to do some fancy clicking to get to the downloadable pdf version. here’s another book by Ralph S. G Stokes: Mines and minerals of the British Empire. being a description of the historical, physical, & industrial features of the principal...

1908 machine used in Gary W. Va. mine - what is it?

While I cannot offer any additional details on that amazing looking contraption… I can offer this: a corroborated, 1908 mining machine: image from wikimedia here. Notice the skeletonized construction, wooden bits, wagon wheels… vastly dissimilar to the machine pictured above. I stumbled...

1891 Cable Road Construction in NYC

You’ve written before about capriccio, accompanied by the suggestion that perhaps capriccio was not in fact some romantic fantasy of archaic ruin that become overwhelmingly popular for no apparent reason… that perhaps people were painting what was real. I’d like to extend that notion to...

Hyperborea: what if it still exists?

I have tried and tried to reconcile Greenland and the Canadian Arctic with Hyperborea. I see some similarity between Greenland as a whole and the constituent masses of Hyperborea + Greenland. This requires a lot of assumptions and a serious rearrangement of geography even for conjecture...

What happened to Fort York in Manitoba, Canada?

Ok, so this is rubbing elbows with another thing I’ve been tracking: the traveling of the magnetic pole. Amongst the theories which I devote my time lies the movement of our magnetic pole(s), the historical (supposed) accounts and allegations regarding past polar shifts, and the plotting of...

Novaya Zemlya: Russians Hiding the Remnants of the Old World?

Very interesting angle of approach! between your work and the young trees issue, it certainly rains on the “move along, nothing to see here” parade

Novaya Zemlya: Russians Hiding the Remnants of the Old World?

Curious indeed. I did a quick scour of the islands on google maps, Apple Maps, and earth star. I did notice a few things, perhaps meaningful and more likely not… The low coastal flatlands where you identified the formations; they appear to be covered in sweeping striations, almost as if they...

Question | Year 2030: what are they hiding?

Yes. Mandatory schooling isn't about education but indoctrination. The indoctrination is done with education as the medium. If you go back and look at the origin stories of our most revered universities you'll find them fettered to the elites and their agendas. In the past, holistic...

Question | Year 2030: what are they hiding?

I have always maintained a healthy distrust for the establishment and authorities, and I’ve always had questions… but it wasn’t until Covid that I truly opened my eyes and mind. After seeing us deluged with lies and disinformation in the broad of day, I decided to abandon all that I believed*...

Comment by 'reverendALC' in media 'Mud Flood Questions'

That’s a fascinating idea. I had always assumed that the dirt/mud was a byproduct of some cataclysmic event (seismic, ballistic, etc). While it very well may be, I have never broached the possibility of it being intentional with a purpose beyond the obvious result.

Question | Year 2030: what are they hiding?

@jd755 i don’t mean to single out your comment about the simulation theory, but after catching up on this thread, it’s probably the thing I feel most compelled to react to. you’re right, the name and current iteration of the simulation theory is a product of the technology of today… but what...

Question | Year 2030: what are they hiding?

That’s a very high sodium diet you’re on there. Though I agree. What attracted me to this forum was the conversation; the different viewpoints, the devil’s advocacy, and the propositions both wild and tame. When attempting to piece together a distorted and fraudulent history, it’s as futile...

Here are some interesting data. antebellum usage according to google ngram: A few first occurrences of the word between approx. 1695-1705, and some follow up usage approx. 1760-1820, before catapulting into frequency in the late 1800s. compared to antediluvian: antediluvian enjoyed usage in...

Question | Year 2030: what are they hiding?

This whole Agenda 2030, all timelines lead to 2030 thing always makes me think of the Hidden Hand Dialogue. If you’re unfamiliar I would urge you to read the entire “conversation.” In my opinion, it is to be taken with as many grains of salt as any narrative-provided info as well as any...

I spent my summers in Tampa as a child. My grandmother lived right off bay shore blvd. Fifteen years ago my wife and I married at the Hillsborough county courthouse! The modern building is very post-modern and monolithic, but the original…
